We often get requests for towels with embroidered names or initials as a gift for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and more. At Towel Studio, while we do not embroider our towels, we offer another solution. We knit names and initials directly into the fabric of our towels using another technique.
What’s the difference between embroidery and knitting?
Because we we can customize the towels as we knit them by just changing a little part of the design of the towel. Custom text is knitted directly as part of the fabric, whereas embroidery is applied on top of towels after they are produced.
Embroidery, on the other hand, is applied on already produced items mostly with machine or sometimes by hand.
Make a long story short, our process doesn't require extra physical step and material to customize, but integrated in the manufacturing process. It's not only elegant and sustainable but we find it also very pretty!
